I saw a news story on this a few years back when I had Eryn. This is incredibly important to look out for, recognizing the potential dangers that lead poisining poses to the devlopment of children. Parents should also be mindful when purchasing dinnerware, as some of the materials used contain dangerous levels of lead that are released when certain foods are consumed from them, i.e tomatoe products.
It is very important to be aware of potential dangers in the toys we buy for our children. This has been going on for many, many years: I remember buying a book about unsafe toys 24 years ago when my oldest was a baby. We didn't focus too much on lead in toys: back then, it was small parts that can cause choking and impure water in baby teethers. THIS is why I sell Discovery Toys. For over 25 years, these toys have been safe, educational and fun for little ones. Too many wonderful things about them to list here! Talk to me if you'd like details.
I am a wife to a wonderful husband/dad and of course, the mother of a queen. I have a Masters degree from Columbia University and only a few credits away from my second Masters degree. I am starting this blog as a way for mothers to communicate with one another. I hope that it also encourages mothers to share tips and ideas with each other.
I am a stay at home mom that loves caring for my house hold which includes my lirrle queen, hubby and two beautiful dogs.
I try to make sure my daughter is involved in many activities to keep her little mind growing.
My Queen has been in swimming class since the age of three months. She has been in music class since the age of three months and Gymboree since the age of two months. She also attends many wonderful activities at our local library. She went to her first book signing when she was 4 months and loved it.
